Gina Yap Lai Yoong has written 7 books and co-written many more. Her trilogy 'Ngeri' is a bestseller with more than 10 reprints since 2012. Her short stories have been published in various anthologies, while her scripts have been produced into short films and animation series. She has also been featured on various shows on national TV where she shared her writing journey. Known as a Story Doctor, Gina is a book consultant and has been mentoring writers since 2014 in their writing journeys. Her passion leads her to be actively involved in the regional writing community through the running of literary festivals, writing retreats, write- in sessions and other literary events in the country. Her passion inspires others to keep writing the stories of their lives. She was also the President of Malaysian Writers Society (2016-2020). Currently, Gina is actively working on a series of children's books while producing creative content for the digital world!
